This project was purely for UE5 exploratory reasons. Here I experimented with material instances from master materials. I also played around with kit bashing the Quixel Megascans library (which I absolutely LOVED playing with).
With my master materials, I can toggle on or off whether it has emissive properties or not and as well as emissive strength. I only have it for non-transparent materials and it only takes ORM (occlusion/roughness/metallic) maps. I plan to make it so the maps can be used separately in both the metallic and specular workflows. For now, as this is a personal exploration project, it's good enough.
As for the landscape material, I took inspiration from Unreal Sensei on youtube and followed his tutorial in Landscape materials. I recommend checking them out! The landscape material takes two different materials and blends them together with parameters to tweak the look.
